Something I doesn't understand is the date that you have on Hugh Taylor.
I have him down as being borne in 1796. You have him born in 1824 or something
to that effect.
Hugh had a illegimate son in 1832. I hardly think that he could have fathered
a son at the age of 1832. What do you think about that.
I am very interested in why the Taylor brothers left their father in South
Carolina. According to Cozie Taylor, Martin Dooley Taylor was a very good
fininical condition.
Some writings of Cozie's stated that Martin Dooley Taylor had a large plantation
with many slaves. Why would someone leave all of that and start out on
their own? Do you have any thoughts on that? Or could it be as James and
Hugh didn't get along; that may be the same situation with their father.
