Researching the lines of George Jernigan and wife Lydia (???) whose dau. was
Zilpha Jane Jernigan later this family in Wayne Co., NC where George and wife
left Wills. Zilpha Jane married 1) Arthur Alford and divorced then married 2)
Amos Wiggs...Arthur Alford Jernigan, son of Arthur Alford and Zilpha Jane
Jernigan, gave issue to Wm. Crawford Jernigan who married Miss Howell. These
lines moved to Hardeman and McNairy Co., TN by 1840's. Wish to correspond
with anyone who descends from this branch of the Jernigans of NC...to TN and
TX, OK..TXJEAN
