Lynn McCarthy gave me this great site, which really does give some more
answers about SWAMPS.

I'm planning to combine all of your great answers and work with Mike on
creating a portion of the page to discuss this important and unique land
feature.

At least, I think it is unique since it is so different from anything in my
experience. Since our ancestors had to participate in this laborious
Draining work, I think it would be of interest to us!
