HERE'S THE ELVY LEWIS's LINE IN BARBOUR COUNTY, AL:

NOTE: There are apparently others of this Lewis family in the county
concurrently.

Mdwy #1095 Farmer (1600 - 5000)

Elizabeth 24 f GA

This was in the Rural Land Owners of Barbour Co., Al 1851 (much taken from
land records of the county):

King, a., A. H.. 34-13-25 (B). Abner H.King, b. ca 1819 Ga., d. by
Aug. 1864 (OR 14, p. 293), heir of Henry King who died by Nov. 1854
(OR 6, p. 263). ELIZABETH LEWIS (wife - m. 4 NOv. 1841), b. 10 May
1820 NC, d. 18 april 1877, buried Fellowship Cem., Bullock Co., Ala.,
daughter of ELVY LEWIS (OR 11, p. 218/9).'

King, Arrington. 34-10-24. No further record.

King, H.. 15&21-12-25 (B) & 19-13-26 (B). Henry King, b. 1 March 1792,
d. 1 May 1854, bur. family cem. Bullock Co., Ala.. In 1839, he was of
Upson Co., Ga (CR G, p. 143). Abi----- (wife - OR 6, p. 27). There is
an
item in the "Southern Christian Advocate", 27 Nov. 1846 - Mrs. Nancy
King, wife of Henry King of Barbour co., Ala., died 15 Sept. 1846, age
53.

King, R. H.. 22-12-25 (B). Robert H. King, b. ca 1825, Ga., heir of
Henry
King who died by Nov. 1854 (OR 6, . 263). Mary ----- (wife?), b. ca 1832
Ga.

And other King-s, but don't know if of same family.

There's a lot more, but my hands and arms are GONE. Been answering email and
typing since 5:30 a.m. and it's now 2:30 p.m. Got to stop and rest a while.
Wrists aching (carpal tunnel syndrome).

There are other Lewis-s in the county, but these on the 1860 Census are the
ones I'm pretty sure belong with Elvy Lewis. Needham Lee is also there same
census and also Worthy J. Grubbs, whose son, Samuel Jackson Grubbs m1 Mary
Susan Gunter, my grt-grandmother. I descend from Mary Susan's m2 to Lovard
Lycurgus Lee, Sr., Capt. CSA.

VERY THRILLED!
KAY G.
