I have Virginia Valley Records by John Wayland and there is a section on the
Spense,Spence Families that went to North Carolina .The list is titled "Spence
Mentioned in the North Carolina Colonial and State records. Counties mentioned
are Perquimans, Pasquotank,Cumberland, guilford, Chowan, Duplin, Bertie and
many more. I will be glad to do any look-ups.
