Thanks to LaRae, I have found that the Eastern NC Archives office located in
Greenville, NC has some excellent files on the historic homes of Bertie County.

Below is the complete listing (I have no idea what is in each file....but
some contain photographs, extensive Bibliography of wills/deeds, and a
description of the architecture. Others are limited just to a penciled
description of the exterior....so they vary a great deal)

Please look over this list, and let me know if any particular homes are of
interest to you. Obviously, we can't gather ALL this material, but we will
try to get the ones that the most people are interested in.

Incidentally, is there anyone on the list who would be able to visit the
Greenville office?
