Hello to all on the list.
I am interested in any info on JOHN and ANN STONE HINDSLEY. They were
married on March 7, 1807 in Bertie Co. Family stories say they were also
from Chowan Co. which isn't to far from Bertie. What little bits and pieces
are that JOHN HINDSLEY was origionally from Maryland. Moved to NC when he
was young. Then as an adult traveled to Tenn.in 1823, then left Tenn. in
1826
to Darke Co. Ohio in 1827, and settled here. These are my gggg-grandparents.

JOHN and ANN had 5 sons and one daughter. Sons I know of are JAMES b.1811?,
WILLIAM b. 1813-16?, JOSEPH. others names unknown. WILLIAM is my line. They
were born in NC county unknown.

WILLIAM HINDSLEY married ANNIE BUTT in 1838 in Darke Co.

Also in the Darke Co. Ohio Census of 1850, listed with JAMES HINDSLEY was a
WILLIAM STONE age 76 from NC and a WILLIAM STONE age 22 from Ohio.

There are other STONE'S in the 1830 Census of Darke Co and in the marriage
list...not sure if they are from the family that came up from NC. they are
Andrew , Elizabeth , Jane, Precilla, Rosannah, William, Nancy, Lewis, John
W.F.

I would be grateful for any info you might be able to find!!!
