I will be in NC later this spring. I am seeking the parents of RION
SOWELL who I believe was born in Bertie ca 1799 and died in Maury Co, TN
in ca 1850.

Question: Where is the best place to search the deeds, wills, guardian
papers etc of Bertie? Will be looking for clues as to Rion's parentage.

Or this the best way to go about it? Any suggestions.

I printed out Lynns info on Visiting Historic Bertie Co from 21 Feb.,
but I would like to know if Windsor or Raleigh would be the best place
to look or which would be the first place to look.
