Surname: RHODES, JACOCKS
-------------------------

JOHN RHODES, SR. B: 1756, entered into the Rev. War in 1776..he marched
out of Windsor under the command of Captain CHARLES JACOCKS as a volunteer
in the Minute Militia. He volunteered because he was unwilling to claim
a draft under the command of Captain CHARLES RHODES of Bertie County, NC.
In 1832, living in Wake county, North Carolina he attempted to lay claim
to a benefit from the Act of Congress. He would have been about 76 at this
time. Can anyone give me info on Charles Rhodes, this John Rhodes or Charles
Jacocks? Thanks, Janet
