Thanks to Betty's follow-up with the Church Historian of Sandy Run Baptist
Church in Roxobel, we now have the answer that there was NO cemetery at the
church.

Now, can anyone who really knows the area, give us an idea of why this
might have been? Were families using private burial grounds? Is there a
larger community cemetery that replaced the usual Church Cemetery?

Also they just celebrated their 250th anniversary in the fall, and I had
hoped that some of you might have been able to obtain Newspaper clippings,
bulletins, etc. We would welcome any information you have!

We do have Mr. Tyler's history on-line, but it deals more with the early
church beliefs and their development rather than church members, etc.

It takes all of us working together to keep the Bertie page increasing!
