I am looking for information on my great grandmother Bessie.I don't know her last name.She was married to John Lassiter. They had 1 child together Katie Lee Lassiter-born April 1914, died Aug 1950.Bessie died when Katie was about 3 years old.Bessie was John's 2nd wife.John Lassiter's 1st wife was Decci Hall.John and Decci were married Oct 1886,Bertie Co. They had 6 children together. I recently discovered John had a 3rd wife named May.The 1920 census-Hertford Co confirms this and has May with 2 daughters Sallie age 10 and Sarah age 7. It has Katie listed as 5 years old. I had been told Katie's family was from Edenton. I don't know about Bessie, but John's family was from Chowan and Bertie and Hertford Co. Any info on either side would be greatly appreciated. Bessie is elusive, but I know she existed,her 1st name is on Katie's death certificate.Can anyone help?My email is .
