I have traced family back to Scott & Annie Williams in Martin County. However, a trip to NC and the county courthouses in Pasquotank, Martin, Halifax, and Hereford revealed nothing on these two other than being the parents of General Williams (+ other siblings of General).

I have also looked for them in Warren, Franklin, Nash, Granville and Vance on subsequent visits. Bertie looks like the only place in that area I have not visited.

When General died, Ida was living in Aulander. I would appreciate any ideas or help. Thanks in advance.
