Hi,
I am researching Thomas Veale who had a daughter Catherine Veale b abt 1777 who married James Grimes, all of Bertie County.
This is my direct line and would love to share info with others researching this.

I have a Will from James and Catherines son, John H Grimes, my ggg uncle, and in it he mentions his interest in his mothers estate (no name) under the Last Will and Testament of her father Thomas Veale. John H Grimes' Will is dated 1851, John died in 1852, so apparently he knew there was a problem with his health, he was assigning guardianship of his minor daughter to his brother James T Grimes, who like John H is also the son of James and Catherine Veale Grimes.

Catherines record is below:

Father: THOMAS VEALE b: C. 1753 in NC
Mother: ELIZABETH CARNEY b: 1755 in North Carolina

Marriage 1 JAMES GRIMES
Married: 29 Jul 1803 in Bertie Co., NC

Any help at this junction would be greatly appreciated.
