Hi Jim,
William M. Pendleton, Private, NC - enlisted 7.14-1862 survived the war but was a Prisoner.
Residence was not listed;
Enlisted on 7/14/1862 as a Private.
On 7/14/1862 he mustered into "E" Co.(date and method of discharge not given)
4th Cavalry - Organized: on 8/20/62Mustered Out: 4/9/65
He was listed as:
* POW 6/21/1863 Upperville, VA
* Confined 6/23/1863 Old Capitol Prison, Washington, DC
* Exchanged 6/30/1863 City Point, VA
* Paroled 6/30/1863 City Point, VA

Does anybody have any info on a William M. Pendleton from the 4th NC Cavarly?
He might have inlisted in Bertie County. He was a member of E Company.
