JOHN RAY, b.1756 d. 1828
Served in the Virginia Troops and later in the Georgia Militia under Colonel
Benjamin Few. He later received bounty land and a pension for his services.

I'm looking for an Angus Ray who was a hatter (hat maker) and a John Ray
who could have been his father...Angus shows up on the 1810 Cumberland
Co. N C census but they may have come from Virginia to N C...Thanks
