I found the record of the marriage but there is no recording number for any of the marriages
listed in this book.

Dear Dee,
It is a marriage bond #000041904, if that helps. I found this on Ancestry.com and it listed North Carolina marriage Bonds, 1741-1868 as the apparent source. Hopefully it would appear in the Duplin County, North Carolina Marriage Records (Ingmire) book.
If by chance you run across a marriage bond for Thomas Canady and Sarah?, I would love to get that one too. Thomas is the father of Joseph Kenady (don't you love how the names are spelled?).
I can't tell you how much I appreciate your helping me this way. North Carolina is a long way to come for this, and I can't get our library to get these books.
