Peggy, I'm so sorry. I have no idea how I manage that.
Let me go ahead and see what I can find right now.

Dee,
You have the wrong person on this email.
I am Peggy Davis Littrell. But I *did* contact you on Aug 16
At that time you replied that it would take you a "couple of days" because
you had a few other things to look up.
I really am stuck on a couple of ancestors so if you do get a little time I
would appreciate some help.

I have stuck on Lucy Pettus b abt 1720 and I am so excited to find someone
with access to VA resources.
We know she was married into the family by marrying Chambers Humphrey abt
1791. The resources I thought might be helpful are listed
Ref # 340 Genealogies of VA families may have info on Lucy. She was born in
Surrey VA. I believe she is a descendant of
Col Thomas Pettus b 1598 England and immigrated to VA by 1637. He was one of
VA's prominent colonists. He was on the Governor's Council. Owned Littletown
Plantation on the James River.
There may also be information on the Pettus family and hopefully Lucy in Ref
# 989 Early VA Families along the James River and their tangled families vol
l
Ref # 990 vol 2
Ref # 991 vol 3
or
Ref # 1571 VA Historical Genealogy

I also need info on two From the Davis branch who I have run into a brick
wall on.
Henry Davis b abt 1759 in Bladen Co and
Elias Davis b 1796 Bladen Co
I thought these references might help
ref 175 & 176 Indexes to NC ancestors
ref 1 Vol 1 Bible & Family records of Bladen Co
ref 46 Vol 2 " " " "
ref 47 Vol 3 " " " "
ref 48 Vol 4 " " " "
ref 49 Vol 5 " " " "

I really appreciate your time and any info you can give me.
Thanks
Peggy Davis Littrell
