Hi, I'm new to this list,and looking for the above, my grgrgrandfather. Born
in 1848, possibly from Ashville. Is this the right list to post for info on
Ashville, NC? James or ELec ,Aleck, Alex, married Martha Burr in Illinois
abt 1870. They lived in KS nearly 20 years, farming, then moved to Benton
Co. AR where they are buried. James may have a sister, Martha Victoria. I'm
hoping he will show up on the 1850 census. Appreciate anything you might
find.
