Hi all,

James Reuben Walker was born 1757 in Burke County. Always thought that he was the son of Col. John Walker and Elizabeth Watson, but have been reading different information on the Internet.

While I was at the Burke County Library I read information by James Reuben Walker's great-great-grandson, R. Fredrick Walker, that says John Walker and Elizabeth Watson were the parents of James Reuben. DAR papers also say the same thing.

The information I have been seeing on the internet says that James Reuben was born in Granville/Bute/Warren County and was the son of William Walker.

Can anyone document which is right? Any information is appreciated!
