Is the obit below for Lon LEDFORD who married Margaret JOHNSON, dtr. of William A. JOHNSON and Auby "Sis" CORNETT?

If so, this Margaret is my cousin and I would like additional information about this family.

Born on Mar. 18, 1922
and resided in Elkin, NC

Mr. Colon Alonzo "C.A." Ledford, Jr. age 86, of Aaron Road, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Yadkin Nursing Care Center.

Mr. Ledford was born March 18, 1922 in Burke County, to Colon Alonzo & Creola Guffey Ledford, Sr.

Mr. Ledford was a veteran of the United States Army and served during WWII and landed at Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944. C.A. was retired from Sears and was a member of Elkin Presbyterian Church where he was a former deacon. He was a member of the Elkin-Jonesville Shrine Club and of the Elkin Masonic Lodge 454. Mr. Ledford was a Boy Scout leader for many years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, W.C. Ledford and Paul Ledford; two sisters, Rubye Mees and Sybil Davenport.

Survivors include: his wife, Marguerite Register Ledford of the home; two daughters, Glenda Troutman and husband Joel of Harrisburg, NC, Beverly Frady and husband Ken of Columbia, SC; a brother, Robert Ledford and wife Mary of Matthews, NC; two sisters, Maye Winget of Brevard, Aileen Affronti of Forest, Va.; a sister-in-law, Phyliss Ledford of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Melanie Downs of Columbia, SC, Keith Downs of Atlanta, GA; Jennifer Hite of Fortson, GA; two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 24, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Elkin Presbyterian Church by Rev. Brian Rummage. Burial will follow with Masonic Graveside Rites at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Elkin Presbyterian Church.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Yadkin Nursing Center and the nurses and staff that were so good to Mr. Ledford during his stay. Also many thanks to his neighbor and friend Delphine Tester for always being there.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials may be made to Elkin Presbyterian Church, 151 Hillcrest Drive, Elkin, NC 28621.
