The Caldwell Co. Historical Society does have books for sale. They have a
history, "Here Will I Dwell" by Nancy Alexander as well as some pamphlets
by her. They have a few copies of W.W Scott's history and some
fictionalized books by Bud Altmayer about the Moore family and the Globe
section of Caldwell. There is also one about the Lenoir family. The
address is PO Box 2165, Lenoir, NC 28645. I don't know prices on the books.
If you are close enough to visit, they have a wonderful museum in the old
music building on the Davenport campus on College Ave and Main St. There is
also a Heritage book available andprobly can be ordered thru Mike Gibbons,
Gibbons Electric Co., 1308 Harper Ave NW, Lenoir, NC 28645. It is a little
over $40.00.
