I know very little about David Foote other than that he was a Lt. and Capt.
in the Carteret County militia 1781-82. He is mentioned a couple of times
in Jean Kell's "Carteret Co. During the American Revolution" and there
is an article on his descendants in the Heritage of Carteret County Vol.
I. That's were I got his birth date of ca. 1760 and marriage date of ca.
1780. I suspect that he died about a year or so before Hepsabeth married
McDermid in Sept. 1795. Were did you find his birth date? Where was he
from? I'd appreciate any information you can share on him.

Sorry, I don't have a dob or dod on James McDermid, or any children other
than James D.
