Are you familiar with the five page report " A Community in Movement" It details the migration of families from the Northern Neck / Northumberland County VA. to Craven County NC. in the 1600 and 1700's. Some 40 families from Banks to Wrights are listed also including Tolsons. I also have the Northumberland CountyVA. birth and death records for Tolsons in Saint Stephens Parish of that county. They begin on 23 july 1693 with the birth of Benjamin Tolon to Benjamin Tolson and ends 1738/9 on May 17 with the birth of John Tolson s/o John Jr.
Found these records in the New Bern, NC Library. I have not been able to connect my Carteret County NC Tolsons to the VA. group in a satisfactory manner.
