On page 469 of NORTH CAROLINA GOVERNMENT 1585-1974 A Narrative and Statistical History (A Revised and Updated Edition of the 1913 North Carolina Manual) Issued by Thad Eure Secretary of State, Edited by John L. Cheney, Jr. 1975. there is a Charles M. Edwards listed as member of the House of Represntatives for Carteret County for the Assembly of 1891.
