Sorry, I didn't pick up on the Craven county reference, as I was thinking about the Willis and roe (rowe) connection. Coincidentally, I've done quite a bit of research, reading deeds for Craven and Jones counties on other family lines (Harrell, Burton, Lee and Granade). The time period of my research has been around 1777 to 1803. For this period I don't recall seeing Willis' or Roes or Rowes.
