Would like to hear from anyone who recognises this family:

Moses D. BUTLER was born in about 1790 in Rockingham Co NC.
By 1850, he resided in western Caswell Co NC. His wife's name
was Nancy, maiden surname unknown. Where and when did they
die?

Here are their children that I know of (do any of you know of more?):

BUTLER Frances J. m 11 Jan 1853 Caswell Co NC to SOMERS William
BUTLER William S.?m 3 May 1864 Rockingham Co NC HARRIS Permelia
BUTLER Moses M.m1 SOMERS Elizabeth m2 ___ Nancy

Moses M. ("Prophet") BUTLER was born in the 1830s in Rockingham Co NC.
By 1850, and until at least 1880, he resided in western Caswell Co NC.
He married 1stly 16 Feb 1855 Caswell Co NC to Elizabeth SOMERS,
sister of William SOMERS above; their parents were John M. SOMERS
and Jemima WALKER, and Jemima WALKER's parents were Alexander
and Mary WALKER.

Moses M. BUTLER and wife Elizabeth SOMERS had these children:

BUTLER Caroline b c1862
BUTLER Elizabeth b c1865 m 6 Apr 1885 Stony Creek, Caswell Co to COBB John Wm
BUTLER Jemima Ann b c1867 m 29 Dec 1885 Stony Creek to CANADY Jackson
BUTLER Zachariah b c1872
BUTLER Robert b c1873

Then Elizabeth SOMERS BUTLER died, and Moses M. BUTLER remarried,
to a Nancy ___. With Nancy, Moses M. BUTLER had two more children:

BUTLER Thomas b c1877
BUTLER Edwin b about Jan 1880

I certainly would love to know how the BUTLERs of Caswell Co NC link up
with each other and also where they were before they arrived there.
John William COBB and Jackson CANADY were cousins of each other,
and married sisters. By 29 Nov 1893, John William COBB remarried;
did Elizabeth BUTLER COBB die by then? Where would these BUTLERs
be buried?

Any light that any of you can shed on these would be much appreciated!
