Derick, that is indeed a fascinating bit of family lore which I had not known. I had sensed a certain coolness of my part of the family, I descend from David Jones Baker, about Calvin Baker, but had never looked into why, thinking it was just that they were half brothers, not full brothers. I live in Florida, is this case material on line anywhere? Gene Ballentine Rooks, daughter of Thelma Baker, daughter of George David Baker, son of David Jones Baker.
