The annual Huss Reunion will be held Sunday, June 3, 2007, beginning
at 1 p.m. at Bethphage Lutheran Church, Crouse, Lincoln Co., NC, with
a covered dish meal. This reunion will be a special event as all
descendants of German immigrant, Johann Jacob Hass (Hauss, Huss,
Hause, Hoss, & Hahs), are invited to be a part of this first-ever
national family gathering. Following the meal and program, the Johann
Jacob Hass Family Memorial Marker dedication will take place at the
church cemetery. For more information, call 704-735-9541.

For those desiring to visit the Old Haas cemetery, final resting
place of the pioneer, Simon Haas, the Catawba County Historical
Association has expended a substiantial sum of money to clear the
cemetery of over growth. The location is off Prison Camp Road, on
Busimess 321, south of Newton.
