Hello listers!

In case you haven't heard, Rootsweb is now maintaining a gedcom server. You
can upload your type ged files -- visitors can search and generate family
groups, descendancies, pedigrees, and other reports. If you've been wanting
to share a gedcom file without giving the whole thing away, you might want
to look into this new feature. The server offers you control over the
file--set up an account with a password, and you can edit it later. It's at:

You'll be pleased at their terms:
"RootsWeb.com, Inc. is NOT responsible for the content of the GEDCOMs
uploaded through the WorldConnect Program. If you have a problem with a
particular entry, please contact the submitter of said entry.
Unlike with certain other Web sites, you have full control over your GEDCOM.
You can change or remove it completely at any time and RootsWeb will never
burn it onto a CD-ROM or charge others to access it."

Rootsweb is also launching a new free webspace offer. Of course, like any
other free service, your site will include advertisements. If this doesn't
