Hello Nathan and Group, Saw your post on SKEETO, you wrote:
I'm searching for the Odom family (headed by Richard Odom who arrived in
Chowan Precinct abt 1700 from Nansemond Co., VA and died leaving a will
in 1728 in Chowan County), and also for Edward Sketoe, who was named on
the 1753 tax list of Chowan Co., NC, and a Joseph Skittoe, his possible
relative, who bought land from Jacob Odom, son of the above Richard Odom
in 1748. Also I am searching for John Stringer (b ca 1710's or 1720's)
who lived in Chowan Co., NC before living in Edgecombe Co., NC in the
Revolutionary
War era.
My interest in the name SKEETO is as follows...any tip or lead will be
appreciated...maybe something below will be of help to you...

My ancestor Aaron ELLIS mentioned Morning SKEETO in his estate papers. I
