Thanks for the insights on Dr. Warren and their short stay at Albania. I have his book but have never read it all the way through. As you know, a little bit of him goes a long way. Everything I know about the James C. Johnston situation with the will comes from the account in that book. You make some excellent points on why Johnston would have been disappointed with them. Also, I understand he was very pro-Union and several of Dr. Johnston's sons were in the Confederate army. I am related to Samuel Iredell Johnston. His mother Elizabeth Cotten Johnston Moore was the sister of my great-great-great-great grandmother Esther Cotten Moore Jones. Do you know if Dr. Johnston is buried at Hayes? I know there is a memorial plaque to him at St. Paul's. Also, do you know the whereabouts of any of his descendants? Thank you.
