I am trying to link my mother's family of Hare (Hair) (Haire) from William Hare who married a Sarah Furlough just before 1800. They lived in Washington Cty (then was Tyrrell Cty and he was not in the 1800 Census of Washington Cty but Sarah Furlough Hare was. So I am looking to make the connection of William back to Chowan Ctry Hare's. The family story is that the Haire's moved to Creswell area from Edenton area in the late 1800's. Any information will be helpful.
