Looking for parents of Burrell Carlisle & Cynthia Taylor. Cynthia Taylor was born around 1812. They were married on 16 Oct 1832 in Chowan Co., NC. He was born around 1810. Bondsman for their marriage was Allen Wood, witness was Edmd. Hoskins. There are three other Carlisle marriages in Chowan Co. and they are:

Willis Carliles and Hariott Smith married 24 Apr 1833. Bondsman was Burrel Carlil and witness was Edmd. Hoskins.

Joseph Edes and Harriett Carliles married Feb 14 1843. Bondsman was Willis Elliott and witness was T.T. Hathaway.

Robert Carlisl, no brides name. Married Feb 10 1764. Witness was Tho. Jones.


In 1850 Burrell & Cynthia are living in Franklin Co., NC. Is another Carlisle in the area that could be Burrell's brother Thomas N. Carlisle born around 1816.
In 1850 there is a Penny Taylor age 23 living with Burrell & Cynthia. Perhaps a sister of Cynthia's.
