Hi, Does anyone know why I am getting Roots web messages today with
attachments to them. It makes not sense to me. For example this message
had an attachment.

When I open the attachment it is identical to the message itself. Very
puzzling. My up-to-date virus program did not detect any virus or worm.
Can someone help.
Franklin

Subject: [NCCUMBER] Fw: [GA-Roots] 1827 Lottery

So many of NC and SC families migrated to Georgia because of the
liberal land lotteries I thought this might benefit some of you. It's
an amazing addition to the Georgia online records.

Donna Eldridge did most of the typing for this project of getting
on-line
those names who drew in the 1827 lottery.

Keith Giddeon took her work and has created the databases that you'll
find
on this page. Keith also has provided maps of the region so you can
see
where the actual land district was located.

This is a magnificent addition to Georgia Genealogy... you'll be
delighted,
I know!

You can view it by COUNTY - seeing it sorted by Day of Drawing or
by
Name of the person.

You can also view by STATE - seeing all the names in alphabetical
order.

Coming in the future will be by Section, Land District and Land Lot so
you'll be able to trace back any land within these counties.
