Deanna I was on the web reading that list when I got signal that your
email was waiting. I have been trying to print the list of Fa rrow's
company but can't make the printer work for some reason. I had read lists
in Colonial records but this was a great job.
Edmund Beecham was also a taxable in 1755 Currituck list, with
William Beecham. An Edmund bought the Rousypock land in 1763. He sold
some of it to John Beacham. Thomas's son Edmund died 1788 and named
father Thomas. I had no idea when Thomas was born. But it has always
seemed likely Edmund of 1755 preceded Thomas's son.
The "Jilletts" have to be Tilletts. They are written as Tillett in the
Colonial Records.
We are descended from Thomas S. Paine, son of Thomas Paine, (Will 1832
Hyde County), son of Thomas Paine, (will 1798 Currituck) and from Thomas
Midgett, definitely. Almost certainly Christopher Oneal, and from George
Dough, father of John. Etc.
