Lisa, and everyone, Family History Centers are not in every building...usually one per stake, maybe 2. Go to familysearch.org...there is a blank box that says 'find a family history center near you...do an advanced search where you put in country, state, county and city....that should bring them up for your area. You'll want to call the center nearest you for hours and closing dates(holidays, etc.), so you don't go and find them closed.

If you need further assistance on finding one, let me know, I'll be happy to help.

Also, the cost of films has risen in most centers...rental for 30 days is now @5.25...due to rising postage costs. the church is non-profit.

I'm getting ready to move, or I'd look up some things for you...it's all packed. Oh, but I do still have a subscription to a big online database, so if time permits, I will do some checking around for you.
Do you know a specific area of NC?
Thanks, and happy hunting to all!
Carolyn Chappell Nelson
