Seeking any info. on Ambrose Joshua Smith who was in Co.H of 57 Reg N.C. State Troops. In her pension appl.applied for in Davidson Co,. N.C. in the post-office of Mt. Gilead, dated July 1903, his widow JAIN MORRIS states her first husband, Joshua Smith died in Jan. 1865 in Salisbury,N.C.She states she was married to a Dr.David F. Morris who died about 1891-93. Who was Jain Smith Morris' family and who was Dr. Morris and most important is who is Joshua Smiths' family?Any help greatly appreciated and Thanks in advance.
