Hello D-OGS members,

It's that time of the year again, the December meeting is our annual birthday
dinner and we're planning some activities and sport after dinner. This is
where you come in. Whether you plan to join us at the restaurant or not, you can
still help make it a fun evening for all. You may remember this from last year
and know what I'm referring to, so sharpen your wits and your pencils, it's
time to construct the quiz. We'll have a nice prize for the winners, so put
some thought into your questions so everyone will have a chance to win a prize.
You're more than welcome to submit two questions if you would like, the more
the better. As we all remember from school, the more questions there are, the
fewer points subtracted from each answer you fluffed.

We need a genealogy question from each member on this newslist to have enough
to keep everyone guessing. They can be true or false, multiple choice, or
fill in the blanks. Be creative and witty too, there's always room for a good
trick question. The subjects may be related to Orange County, migrations, source
citation, researching women's names or anything at all as long as it has to do
with genealogy and people will have a chance of being able to answer the
majority of them. You've got a little time to get them in, but I'd really
appreciate it if you don't leave it till the last minute because it takes me some time
to get them assembled and printed out. I learned last year that some
correspondence was necessary to get them "just right". I want to have the quizzes all
done by the first of November so I can plan Thanksgiving dinner and start
wrapping my Christmas gifts!

Thanks so much for you help and support. The folks who attended the dinner
last year had a great time with them, and I know they're depending on you again
this year. I can't wait to see who is the champion this time.
