I have several relatives buried in church cemetaries in Duplin County. What are the usual requirements to be buried these places? Do the churches generally keep records of the people buried there? What information could I possibly gather from these sources? I'll list my relatives and the churches they are buried near below:

Rooty Branch Free Will Baptist Church - Beautancus Rd. near Summerlins Crossroads

Giles Albert Rogers
Wife: Nancy Herring (Rogers)
Children: Yancey Rogers
Margaret Rogers

Snow Hill Free Will Baptist Church - somewhere near the previous church

Isaac Thomas Bishop, Sr.
Wife: Martha Jane Kennedy
Children: Isaac T. Bishop, Jr.
Wife: Louella W. Bishop
Children: Aaron Glen Bishop
Robert H. Bishop

If anyone may have any research on any of these individuals, or know anything about what records these churches may keep, please let me know. I am particularly interested in information on Giles Rogers. I'll compile all that I know about him and post it to this mailing list when I get a chance. Thanks in advance!
