I haven't seen any response regarding Thomas James. I believe that the
mentioned Eliza James was the daughter of Thomas James and according to "The
Kenan Family" married Daniel Love Kenan, whom her sister Mary had first
married. Mary James Kenan died 28 Oct 1811. Grizelle (Grizzy) James; a
minor in 1809; had as guardian Daniel Love Kenan. Temperence James married
to Dr. J. M. Nixon. Married 7th instant; on Stewart's Creek, James M. Nixon
of Onslow County, to Miss Temperence James, youngest daughter of the late
Thomas James of Duplin. Cape Fear Recorder, November 16, 1816. They moved to
Quincy, Gasden County, Florida. Temperence James Nixon died 22 Jul 1835 .
Mrs. Temperance Nixon, on the 22nd of July, at Quincey, Middle Florida, age
40, wife of Dr. James N. Nixon, formerly of Duplin County, NC. Peoples Press
and Wilmington Advertiser, 28 Aug 1835.
