Subject: [NCDUPLIN] Oath of Fidelity-Allegiance

Listmembers, I recently found on the NSDAR pages that an accepted proof of
Revolutionary War service was an oath of fidelity, support and allegiance.
The oaths are listed as below on the NSDAR site:

"Signer of Oath of Fidelity and Support, Oath of Allegiance, etc."

Does anyone have information as to whether these oaths were oral or written?
If written are there extant records of these oaths? How and where may I
locate them for Bladen, Duplin and Sampson Counties?

Thanks for any help/suggestions/directions.

Fran
