I have found a couple of neat sites. I hope that they are handy for someone out there.

Wilmington N.C.'s main paper but I have found several obits in there from other counties and cities in N.C. If you go to the obit section on the website they will give you a option of going back for a year. If you do the search on the main page it will take you back for about 3 years. The front page search will also give you the marriages and births. All i did was type in the surname and I got alot information from there.
