I was wondering if anyone knows when George Carter the son of Obed & Sallie Carter died? And also where he might have moved to and who he married?

He was born around 1859 and is on the 1870 Census from Duplin County under Obed Carter and is listed there as 11 years old.

There is a George Carter age 41 on the 1900 Census from Rockingham county NC. I'm wondering if that is the same George Carter that was born in Duplin county NC whose parents were named Obed & Sallie Carter. There is no George Carter age 41 on the duplin county 1900 Census so I'm assuming George Carter either died between 1870 and 1900 or he moved somewhere.

Also does anyone know who Obed Carter & Sallie Carters parents may have been? Sallie was a Carter and married a Carter.
I'm wondering if these Carters originated from western NC or where.
