Subject: [NCGREENE] Migration files - so far

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas, great New Year's Eve and day, all your
pc's worked on Jan. 1 and the best to you for the New Year.

I have sorted the migration information you posted into States and
counties. No doubt there is a lot more information available which we would
like to add to the files before Patty sets them up on the Old Dobbers page.
We have not added the names of the researcher at this point because that
gets into having to have permission from each researcher which is a real
headache for Patty. In the long run, this might tend to defeat the purpose
as no one will know who is working that line but lets just do it this way
for now as changes can be made later.

I will post each state one at the time so if any of you have additional
information you can add it at that time and then we will go on to the next
state. For those families who went to SC, then on to Ala etc have tried to
put this under the file in both states. Might have left something out. Once
the files have been corrected, would like to ask those of you on county
lists in those states to run the list on that county to see if anyone off
this list can add anything. Josh has already done this on the Darlington
Co, SC list - that is the longest list - and a special thanks to Josh for
all he has done on this project. And to Rose, who submitted so much
detailed information.

Additional projects for this year
1. Common Ancestors - we would like to do a list of surnames and who on the
list is working those surnames and which line.

2. Migrations to Dobbs Co

3. Getting Old Dobbers site ready to receive GEDCOMS - that is going to
take a lot of work on Patty's part

4. expanding the individual surname pages and finishing up what we have on
the Brights etc. This will work with the Common Ancestors.
