Would never have guessed Eleanor Roosevelt had roots in our area. According
to an article in the N & O, no date but when she was First Lady. She
descended from the following (I don't vouch for this information):

Jacob Muller/Miller
John Matin Franck
William Heritage
Jesse Cobb
Pridgeon of Greene

Mrs. Roosevelt descended through Jesse Cobb through his son Rev. Jesse
Heritage Cobb, born 1778. He went to Tenn and was a Methodist minister.
Married Olivia Pridgeon of Greene County - no parents given. They had a
daughter, name not known who married John or William Bullock of Granville
Co. (Sounds a little iffy to me). Their daughter Susan Bullock married
Theodore Roosevelt I in Georgia and their son Theodore became President.
