THere is a copy of the original John Kennedy Bible in the Collection of
Bill Murphy at ECU. There is a note on it written by William L. Kennedy son
of Thomas Jefferson Kennedy and his wife Martha Allen. William states his
grandmother was Persis Westbrook Allen. He also states that William Allen
of Greene Co as the son of Richard and a Miss Laurence Allen. Richard Allen
was the son of Paul Allen. I take that as proof that William Allen was
married to Persis Westbrook as one would assume William Kennedy knew who
his grandparents were.
