Patricia, sorry..............your Andrew Stanley is not my Andrew Stanley. My Grandfather, Andrew, was from Guilford County, NC. He was the son of Charles Stanley. Both were disowned by the Quaker Church..........Charles for striking a man in anger and Andrew for enlisting in the Confederate Army. He is mentioned in Sloan's book, THE GUILFORD GRAYS, as the Champion Forager in Captain Cook's brigade. He was captured at Bristoe Station, Va. He was at Point Look out prison in Md. When released, dad said he would come and go. Don't know when he died or where he is buried.
