This message was posted on the message boards for Guilford Co.: "I have some
records which are another persons research about: John Cook Family of Belews Creek, Guilford Co, NC.

Thought to have brothers Henry, William and Cornelius. Thought to have been born in 1750's.....md: ca 1778 Diana, sister of Alexander Nelson. He died ca 1820. The researcher thought that their children were: John, b: 1799 md: Elizabeth Selivan (etc ca him in these records); dau:; son, possible Cornelius; Delila; dau (?Nancy?); dau, (?Jenna?); Dicey b: 1795 and three other dau's."

Although the above info was submitted by another person it is very close to my own. Would you please help me figure out who belongs to whom?
John C. Cook b. 11-10-1783 married Elizabeth Sullivan b. 3-12-1786 this I know for sure.
We believe John C. Cook's father to be Jesse Cook who's 1st wife was Prudence Cranor.
One of Jesse's sons named James (married Susannah Chappel) is my direct line.
My question is who is Jesse Cook's father/line? Yes, our Cook line were Quakers, we migrated to Fayette and Rush County, Indiana where we weren't Quakers anymore, for whatever reason. There are so many Cook's I am having a tough time figuring out who belongs to whom!
Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Audrey Horner
