Hello Robert
I was reading some information on your website this morning. I have some
information on the DARK family who were members of that church in McDonough
and Schuyler counties of Illinois and were mentioned in your history of the
church.
I have the memoirs of Elder Samuel L. DARK who pastored. He was brother to
my husband's ggrandfather
Anderson C. DARK.
I am pretty certain that their father Samuel P. DARK and wife Mary BRYANT
DARK were also members of the church. They are buried in the Newell
Cemetery.
Elder Samuel L. DARK was quite a character, and a colorful writer. His
account is in the book "The Kith and Kin
of the DARK Clan in America 1680-1973".
Best Wishes,
Jeanne DARK
