NOTES: John Knox Stimpson Case was a Physician in Henderson County for many years before moving to Greenville, S.C. about 1903. On the 1880 census of Transylvania County, he and Josephine are living with a King family. The census also shows that he and his parents were born SOMEWHERE in North Carolina, but it was not HENDERSON or TRANSYLVANIA Co., North Carolina. The 1850, 1860, and 1870 census of Henderson and Transylvania (formed abt. 1861), do not reveal that Dr. John's parents came from this area.
